International Students

Guidance for visas, housing, student life, and artistic training in France.

Studying in France at the Pernoo School

The Pernoo School of Musical Performance welcomes talented musicians from around the world who wish to pursue advanced artistic training in France.

Located in the Paris area, the School offers highly personalised instruction, artistic mentorship, performance opportunities, and professional guidance within a small international community.

Studying in France also provides access to one of the world’s richest cultural environments, with exceptional opportunities to attend concerts, operas, festivals, museums, and artistic events throughout the year.

The School is pleased to assist international students in preparing for their arrival and integration into life in France.

Visa and Immigration

International students are responsible for ensuring that they comply with all applicable immigration and visa requirements.

The School can provide supporting documents including letters of admission, enrolment confirmations, tuition payment receipts, programme descriptions, and other documents that may be required as part of a visa application.

Students are strongly encouraged to begin any visa application process as early as possible, as processing times may vary significantly depending on nationality and individual circumstances.

Housing

Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation during their studies.

The School is pleased to provide guidance regarding housing options in the Paris area and may, when possible, help connect incoming students with current students seeking accommodation or flatmates.

Students may choose to live in Paris or neighbouring communities connected by public transportation.

We recommend beginning the housing search several months before arrival in France.
