Carlos Vidal is a Spanish cellist who has been studying with Jérôme Pernoo in Paris since the age of 16. He is currently completing his studies in Munich.

Biography

Born in 2004 in Valencia, Carlos Vidal is a cellist currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich in Julian Steckel’s class. He studied cello in Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid with Iñaki Etxepare, Salvador Bolón, María Casado, and Asier Polo, then joined the class of Jérôme Pernoo and Edgar Moreau at the Conservatoire Supérieur National de Musique de Paris in February 2020.

A laureate of numerous international competitions, he has been recognized at the International Kódaly Competition, the Jeunesses Musicales de España Permanent Competition, the Pau Casals International Prize, and the Johannes Brahms International Competition, among others. In October 2022, he received the Prince of Hesse Award at the Kronberg Academy. Carlos has performed in most European countries and has participated in prestigious festivals such as the Casals Festival, the Casalmaggiore International Festival, the Kronberg Festival, the Schiermonnikoog Festival, and the Schleswig-Holstein Festival.
