
As the ADAMI's 2019 Classical Revelation, Jérémy Garbarg embodies the new generation of French cellists. In April 2021, he joined the Arod Quartet, with whom he performs regularly in the most prestigious venues around the world.
As a soloist, he won First Prize and the Shenzhen Orchestra Special Prize at the Schoenfeld Competition in Harbin in September 2023. He is also a prize winner at the Brahms (Austria) and Viña del Mar (Chile) international competitions, where he won the Audience Prize. In chamber music, he won First Prizes with the Duo Consonance at the Società Umanitaria International Competition in Milan and the Belgium Cello Society Competition in Brussels. He is also a laureate of the Fondation Banque Populaire.
His playing, described as “moving and generous,” has led him to perform frequently in France and abroad. He is invited to numerous festivals and institutions and performs in major venues in Europe, America, and Asia. He regularly collaborates with renowned artists from the international scene.
Very present in the media, he is broadcast on Medici.tv, France Musique, and several European radio stations and channels. Since 2018, Jérémy Garbarg has been artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where he is perfecting his skills with Gary Hoffman and Jeroen Reuling. He has also benefited from the teaching of Gautier Capuçon, Jérôme Pernoo, and François Salque.
In 2022, he released his first CD, Parlando, which was critically acclaimed.
He plays a late 17th-century Rugieri cello and enjoys the support of several foundations and artistic partners.
